Public Input Session, Hanover Regional Economic Development Plan
Thursday Sep 19, 2013
Hanover Hospital's Wellness & Education Center There is no charge to attend.
Conewago Township, Hanover Borough, McSherrystown Borough and Penn Township – collectively identified as the Hanover Region – are collaborating to develop a regional economic development plan. The purpose of a regional plan is to develop a comprehensive overview of the region’s economy, set policy direction for desired economic growth, and identify strategies, programs and projects to improve the local economy.
The plan is in its final stages, with a release date slated for the end of 2013. The process included public participation. Information has been gathered in three ways: a survey, with over 100 responses, individual meetings with local businesses, and two public input sessions, held in July and September. The September pubic session will be held on Thursday, September 19 beginning at 6pm at Hanover Hospital's Wellness & Education Center, located at 400 York Street.
